While we talk quite a bit about parasites and how to get rid of them here at the Body Cleanse hub, it’s good to remember that not all organisms in our bodies are harmful. Probiotics are, according to the FDA definition, beneficial organisms that, when administered to the body, confer a health benefit to the host. Several probiotic advocates encourage the production or addition of good bacteria and parasites into the body in order to stabilize the very active biological balance in our digestive system.

While there are clearly unwanted parasites and intestinal organisms that we want to actively remove, it’s important to realize that some are actual healthy and knowing the difference is key.
