Before we begin we should clarify 2 types of toxins that can cause you to feel out of balance on the way to a total cleanse.

Environmental Toxins:    Sometimes called exogenous (made outside your body) toxins, environmental toxins include all the chemicals and pollutants that you’re exposed to through air, water, and food.
Common environmental toxins include pesticides, herbicides, prescription and over-the-counter medications, carbon monoxide, triclosan, bisphenol A, phthalates, and volatile organic compounds.
Metabolic Toxins: Sometimes called endogenous (made inside your body) toxins, metabolic toxins are produced by each of your cells as they go about their everyday metabolic processes. Metabolic toxins can also be produced by microorganisms that act on incompletely digested food in your digestive tract.
Environmental Toxins are definitely the more dangerous of the 2 types in that they are all around you and are almost impossible to avoid unless you make positives steps towards eliminating them.  Almost everything that you do involves some sort of environmental toxin.
One thing that most people don’t realize is how prescription and over-the-counter medications can negatively affect your health.  Many people are lured into believing that a “pill” can help solve all of their problems when in all actuality the key to being truly detoxed is learning to live your life without relying on medications.   Society puts such an emphasis on pharmaceuticals that almost every quirk that someone has that makes them unique can be “cured” by taking one prescription pill.

Instead, remember that there are natural, healthy processes for dealing with toxins, poisons, germs, and bacteria.  A body cleanse may be exactly what you need.
